DESIGNER, CODER, FINTECH KNOWLEDGE-EXPERT
Hello, Iām Isabel Tan, a Senior UX Designer.
I am effectively bilingual – I speak Business and Design. I double-majored in Applied Economics and Business Management at college, but realized that compared to analyzing markets, I like designing products even better. A life-changing internship in Tel Aviv, Israel also made me embark on a tech-centric journey where I was able to be part of the efforts behind digital transformation initiatives from multiple stakeholders, including government and financial institutions.
The desire to expand my horizons also led me to travel across the Pacific from Singapore to finally, Canada in 2022. Fast forward a year later, I completed my Masters in UX Design at the University of Toronto, with a Graduate Co-op at Destination Ontario.
I thrive in international, fast-paced environments. In my recent design career in government ministries and financial institutions, I have learned to emulate designs that demonstrate simplicity, clarity, and profoundness. I also value designs that adopts global-mindfulness with multiple cultural and regional dimensions, is growth-focused and data-driven.
My passion lies in creating things. Other than designing tech products, I also like coding, drawing and selling charcoal portraits, playing my violin, ErHu and practice Krav Maga.
